A Church of Our Own
As the UU Congregation of Tupelo
grows, we will reach a time when we need to have our own building. As
wonderful as the B'nai Israel Congregation has been to us, we still
have to make special arrangements when we want to use the facilities on
a day other than our regular Sunday.
Wouldn't it be really great if we could have some of our special
activities at our own place instead of having someone host a gathering
with all the preparation and clean up things that go with it? Just
think of the things we could do beyond what we do now:
- Book Discussion Club
- Games & Puzzles Club
- Tai-Ch'i Chih Lessons & Practice
- Meditation Discussions & Practice
- Young Adult Activities
- UU Philosophies and History Discussions
- Healing Circles
- Weddings
- Support to other small groups (e.g. PFLAG, HRC, etc.)
We can be a dynamic presence in this community, a voice for Unity &
Justice & Liberty for everyone, a beacon of Love for All.
The Good News is:
We can afford to do it. We have the money. We only need to move it from
your account to the UU Congregation of Tupelo's Building Fund Account.
PLEDGE THIS YEAR and make a long term committment as well. Pledge forms are being mailed to members.
