The second meeting of the UUC Tupelo Book Discussion Club met at Tish Kennedy's home on January 7, 2011. The discussed book was "The Help" by Kathryn Sockett. The story is about upper-crust families of Jackson, Mississippi and how they related to their domestic help in the 1950's. The discussion brought out many personal memories and they varied widely based on our individual histories. In August a group of us went to see the movie and later discussed them both over supper at Atlanta Bread.
